6 Step Process to Create and Deliver a Compelling Pitch

  • Advance Preparation

The first step is to consider what makes a good outcome. Think about the next step in moving the process towards reaching a win-win agreement. The next step is to consider the 3 key questions your audience will want answered - this forces to really question if you Know your Audience.

  • Shape your Message

A format for a Sales pitch is provided in module 1. In module 2, the focus switches to Investment. The 4 point formula of Problem, Solution, Market and Business from 'The Startup Pitch: A Proven Formula to Win Funding' by Chris Lipp is discussed along with his 4 Elements of Influence.

  • Pitch Delivery & Evaluation

Pitching is a skill - one that can be developed and improved. Practice is critical. Module 3 provides guidance on pitch delivery in two circumstances, when you are allowed to use slides, and secondly when you have to present without visual aids.

February 2020 -. As someone who has completed many online courses, I want to say how much I really enjoyed the course. This is a wonderful and practical overview of the whole process of writing a business plan. Very easy to understand and broken down in manageable modules. I would say that it teaches business planning and more. I'm now excited about doing the financial projections one, (Something I never thought I would say).
